Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue, and voice.

OFFICIAL

Rapping (also known as emceeing,[1] MCing,[1] spitting (bars),[2] or rhyming[3]) refers to "spoken or chanted rhyming lyrics".[4] The art form can be broken down into different components, as in the book How to Rap where it is separated into “content”, “flow” (rhythmand rhyme), and “delivery”.[5] Rapping is distinct from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat.[6][7]

The end of fasting for another year, that is unless you are fasting for another specific reason. Lets hope and why not pray too, that the forthcoming year brings a broader representation of those running the mosques. Any clothes woman bought during this month of ramadan, they will not be held accountable for. Inshallah your fitranna went to the right people, if it was paid directly and not to the mosque fund.

Hope we get past one year to the next without any problems, considering how superstitious people are. But then again it will not be a problem for those of us that do not believe in superstitions.

For those of us that already know what the future holds, why stress.

Renting A Flatshare

Many people who enter into a flatshare do so without really being clear on exactly what their rights are. If you are considering signing up for a flatshare, the most important thing to establish is whose name the flatshare agreement is in and what kind of contract it is (for example, a tenancy agreement). If your name is on the agreement then you have access to all the rights in that agreement, if it is not – and you have no other written proof of your agreement to live in the property - then you have almost no rights at all.

Many landlords will want flatshare tenants to sign a joint tenancy. Essentially this means that all the tenants sign the same documents and that each one is guaranteeing the obligations of the other tenants. If one joint tenant doesn’t pay the rent then the other tenants will be liable for it, and where there is damage to the property, the deposits of all the joint tenants (which are held together as one combined deposit) can be used to pay for it.

If you are subletting then it is essential that you find out who the main landlord of the property is and establish that they know about the subletting. In most cases, a tenancy agreement will state that sub letting cannot take place, but this can be bypassed where the landlord has given his or her consent. If you are subletting without the landlord’s consent then you have very little protection from being evicted, particularly if you have no signed documentation.

Council tax can be an issue where there is a flatshare, as the tenants of a property are responsible for the council tax. If there is a tenant who is entitled to council tax benefit, or is a student, then there may be some sort of discount available, but this will only usually apply to the person who is on benefits or in receipt of council tax benefit and not to the rest of the household. It is important to clarify this up front as council tax can be a significant monthly expense.

When you are considering entering into a flatshare, it’s key that you and your housemates have an understanding on the day to day running of the flatshare. Two key areas you may want to consider are:

1. Money. It is important that everyone in the flatshare knows who is responsible for paying what during the length of the flatshare agreement. Whilst each tenant usually understands they are responsible for paying their own rent, it is a good idea to agree in advance how the other costs will be met. For example, will one of each of the flatmates pay one of the electricity, gas and council tax bills and then recoup the cost from the other flatmates? Will you share the cost of basic supplies like milk and bread? What happens if there is a breakage, do you expect the person who broke the item to pay for it or will the cost be shared?

2. House rules. It might be exciting to be moving in with friends, or with new acquaintances, but everyone is different and living with other people can be challenging at the best of times. It is important to establish in advance how everyone feels about issues such as having girlfriends or boyfriends over, who does the cleaning, whether smoking is allowed, whether anyone has a pet, how all the housemates feel about parties, and whether are there any rooms in the house that housemates need permission to go into?

Where issues arise between housemates it is usually in the housemates interests to try and resolve the problem and stay put until the end of the tenancy agreement. If one tenant leaves or moves out unexpectedly then the other tenants will be responsible for that tenant’s rent and the tenant who leaves will likely lose their share of the security deposit. In some circumstances, a landlord may be happy for a tenant who wants to leave to be replaced by someone else. In this case an addendum to the tenancy (an ‘add on’) will usually need to be signed to show that the new tenant is now bound by the old tenancy agreement.

The Types of Heart

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

Just as the heart may be described in terms of being alive or dead, it may also be regarded as belonging to one of three types; these are the healthy heart, the dead heart, and the sick heart.

The Healthy Heart

On the Day of Resurrection, only those who come to Allah with a healthy heart will be saved. Allah says:

"The day on which neither wealth nor sons will be of any use, except for whoever brings to Allah a sound heart. (26:88-89)"

In defining the healthy heart, the following has been said: "It is a heart cleansed from any passion that challenges what Allah commands, or disputes what He forbids. It is free from any impulses which contradict His good. As a result, it is safeguarded against the worship of anything other than Him, and seeks the judgment of no other except that of His Messenger . Its services are exclusively reserved for Allah, willingly and lovingly, with total reliance, relating all matters to Him, in fear, hope and sincere dedication. When it loves, its love is in the way of Allah. If it detests, it detests in the light of what He detests. When it gives, it gives for Allah. If it withholds, it withholds for Allah. Nevertheless, all this will not suffice for its salvation until it is free from following, or taking as its guide, anyone other than His Messenger ." A servant with a healthy heart must dedicate it to its journey's end and not base his actions and speech on those of any other person except Allah's Messenger . He must not give precedence to any other faith or words or deeds over those of Allah and His Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Allah says:

"Oh you who believe, do not put yourselves above Allah and His Messenger, but fear Allah, for Allah is Hearing, Knowing. (49:1)"

The Dead Heart

This is the opposite of the healthy heart. It does not know its Lord and does not worship Him as He commands, in the way which He likes, and with which He is pleased. It clings instead to its lusts and desires, even if these are likely to incur Allah's displeasure and wrath. It worships things other than Allah, and its loves and its hatreds, and its giving and its withholding, arise from its whims, which are of paramount importance to it and preferred above the pleasure of Allah. Its whims are its imam. Its lust is its guide. Its ignorance is its leader. Its crude impulses are its impetus. It is immersed in its concern with worldly objectives. It is drunk with its own fancies and its love for hasty, fleeting pleasures. It is called to Allah and the akhira from a distance but it does not respond to advice, and instead it follows any scheming, cunning shayton. Life angers and pleases it, and passion makes it deaf and blind (1) to anything except what is evil.

To associate and keep company with the owner of such a heart is to tempt illness: living with him is like taking poison, and befriending him means utter destruction.

The Sick Heart

This is a heart with life in it, as well as illness. The former sustains it at one moment, the latter at another, and it follows whichever one of the two manages to dominate it. It has love for Allah, faith in Him, sincerity towards Him, and reliance upon Him, and these are what give it life. It also has a craving for lust and pleasure, and prefers them and strives to experience them. It is full of self-admiration, which can lead to its own destruction. It listens to two callers: one calling it to Allah and His Prophet and the akhira; and the other calling it to the fleeting pleasures of this world. It responds to whichever one of the two happens to have most influence over it at the time.

The first heart is alive, submitted to Allah, humble, sensitive and aware; the second is brittle and dead; the third wavers between either its safety or its ruin.

Footnotes:

1. It has been related on the authority of Abu'd-Darda' that the Messenger of Allah said, "Your love for something that makes you blind and deaf." Abu Daw'ud, al-Adab, 14/38; Ahmad, al-Musnad, 5/194. The hadith is classified as hasan.

Three Types of Hearts

Ibn al-Qayyim

The heart is described, classified into three types:

The First: The Correct and Sound Heart.

This is the truthful and secure (salīm) heart, the only type of heart that its owner can bring to Allāh which will rescue him on the Day of Judgement [from the Grievous Punishment]. Allāh, the Exalted says,
The Day when neither wealth nor sons will avail, except he who brings to Allāh a truthful and secure heart.[1]
The meaning of salīm (secure) is sālim (the one who is secure), it has come in this form because it depicts an innate attribute or description of the described. As such it is grammatically like the words tall (tawīl) or graceful and charming (dharīf).

Therefore the one whose heart is described as salīm is characterised so because this attribute of truthfulness and security has become a constant and established description of it. In this respect it is like the terms, ‘the one who knows’ (‘alīm) and ‘the one who has power’ (qadīr). It is also the opposite of diseased (marīd), sick (saqīm) and ailing (‘alīl).

The statements of the people explaining the meaning of the secure and truthful heart have differed. However they all revolve around the [following] basic concept,

[The truthful and secure heart] is that which is secure from every carnal desire that opposes the order and prohibition of Allāh. It is secure from every doubt and uncertainty that would obscure or go against His narrative. It is secure from displaying servitude to any other than He just as it is secure from seeking the ruling of other than His Messenger (peace be upon him). Therefore it becomes secure through loving Allāh and seeking the ruling of His Messenger. It becomes secure through showing Him dread (khawf), reverential hope (rajā’), placing its trust and reliance upon Him (tawakkul), turning to Him in repentance (inābah), humbling itself before Him (dhull), preferring what Pleases Him in every circumstance and distancing itself from everything that would Displease Him in every possible way. This is the reality of servitude (‘ubūdiyyah) which can only be directed to Allāh, Alone.

Therefore the truthful and secure heart is that heart which is secure from committing any form of shirk whatsoever and instead its servitude is only directed to, and purely for Allāh, the Exalted. Its desire, love, trust and reliance, repentance, humbleness, dread and reverential hope is only for Allāh and its actions are purely for His sake. Hence if it loves, it loves for the sake of Allāh; if it hates, it hates for the sake of Allāh; if it gives, it gives for the sake of Allāh; and if it withholds, it withholds for the sake of Allāh.

But this alone does not suffice until the heart becomes secure from submitting to, and going to anybody else but the Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) for judgement. Therefore the heart ties a firm bond with him (peace be upon him), resolving to follow him and obey him alone in sayings and actions. These sayings comprise the saying of the heart – which are the matters of belief, and the sayings of the tongue – which conveys what the heart contains. These actions comprise the actions of the heart – which refer to its desire, love, dislike and other connected matters, and the actions of the limbs.

Therefore the judge for all these matters – the major and minor of them – is that which the Messenger (peace be upon him) came with. Hence the heart does not put itself before him in any matter related to belief, saying and action. Allāh, the Exalted says,
O you who believe! Do not put yourself forward in front of Allāh and His Messenger.[2]
meaning: do not speak [of a matter] until he has spoken of it and do not act until he has commanded it.

Some of the Salaf said,

There is no action, even if it be small, except that two records will be unfurled for it: why? and how?

meaning: why did you do it? How did you do it?

The first question enquires about the cause, onset and motive of the action. Was it done for some temporary, worldly gain or for some worldly purpose such as attaining the praise of people? Was it done for fear of the blame of people, to attain some worldly desire, or to repress some worldly dislike? Or was the motivation of this action the establishment of the rights of servitude [to Allāh], the seeking of increasing ones love of and closeness to Allāh, the Glorious and Exalted, and seeking the means of drawing close (wasīlah) to Him?

The essence of this question is: was it upon you to perform this action for the sake of your Master or did you perform it for some personal gain or by way of following your base desires?

The second question enquires about the following of the Messenger (peace be upon him) in that action of worship. Meaning: was that action you did from those actions which have been legislated for you upon the tongue of the My Messenger or was it an action that I did not legislate and was not pleased with?

Therefore the first question concerns sincerity (ikhlāş) and the second concerns following (mutāba‘ah) for indeed Allāh does not accept any action until both these pre-requisites are met.

The method of absolution from the first question is to purify ones sincerity such that it is for Allāh Alone.

The method of absolution from the second question is to actualise the following of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and by securing the heart from any intent that would impair its sincerity and any base desire that would impair its following.

This is the reality of the secure and truthful heart from which ensues victory and bliss.

The Second: The Dead Heart

This is the heart that contains no life. It does not know its Lord and it does not worship Him by complying to His command and doing that which He Loves and is Pleased with. Instead it is a slave to its carnal desires, temptations and pleasures, even if these lead to the Displeasure of its Lord and His Anger. As long as it fulfils its cravings and attains its worldly desires, it does not care if its Lord is Pleased or Displeased. Therefore it worships other than Allāh. It directs its love, dread, reverential hope, pleasure, displeasure, glorification and submission to other than Him. If it loves, it loves for the sake of its base desires; if it hates, it hates for the sake of its base desires; if it gives, it gives for the sake of its base desires; if it withholds, it withholds for the sake of its base desires. It gives preference to its base desires and these are more beloved to it than the Pleasure of its Master.

Base desires are its leader, carnal desires are its commander, ignorance is its driving force, and negligence is the vessel [upon which it travels]. It is completely engrossed in contemplating how to attain its worldly desires. It is driven wild by the intoxication of its base desires and love of the temporal things. It hears the call to Allāh and the Abode of the Hereafter from a distant place and does not respond to the sincere advisor. It follows every cunning devil and the world is the cause of its anger and the cause of its pleasure. Base desires make it deaf and blind to anything other than falsehood. In this world it is like that which is said concerning Laylā,

An enemy to whosoever she displays enmity and at peace with those she likes
Whosoever she draws close to, he loves and draws close to.

Mixing with the person who has this heart is a sickness, interacting with him is poison and sitting with him is destruction.

 The Third: The Diseased Heart

This is the heart that contains life but also possesses a defect. It has two urges calling it, one leading it to life and the other leading it to death and it follows whichever of the two that predominates.

It contains love of Allāh, the Exalted, faith in Him, sincerity to Him and trust and reliance upon him from those matters that are essential to its life.

It also contains the love of its carnal desires, giving preference to them and eagerness to attain them. It contains jealousy, arrogance, self-amazement, and love of ranking and sowing corruption in the land through attaining leadership from those matters that necessarily lead to its destruction and devastation.

It is constantly being tried by two callers, one calling it to Allāh, His Messenger and the Abode of the Hereafter and the other calling it to temporal, worldly matters. It responds to the one that is closest and most predominant at that time.

Therefore the first type of heart is the living, humble, soft, attentive and heedful heart.
The second type is the brittle, dry and dead heart.
The third type is the diseased heart, either it is closer to securing itself or it is closer to its devastation

Allāh, the Glorious, has mentioned these types of the hearts in His saying,
Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet before you without Shayţān insinuating something into his recitation while he was reciting. But Allāh revokes whatever Shayţān insinuates and the Allāh confirms His Signs, Allāh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. That He may make what Shayţān insinuates a trial for those in whose heart is a disease and whose hearts are hardened. Indeed the wrongdoers are entrenched in hostility. And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it [the Qur’ān] is the truth from your Lord, that they may believe therein and their hearts may submit to it with humility. Indeed Allāh is the Guide of those who believe, to the Straight Path.[3]
In these three verses, Allāh, the Glorious and Exalted, has mentioned two types of hearts put to trial and one type that is victorious. The two types of heart that are put to trial are the diseased and the harsh and dry. The victorious heart is the heart of the believer that is humble before its Lord, it is at rest and satisfaction with Him, submissive and obedient to Him.

This is because it is desired from the heart and other limbs that they be healthy and secure, having no defect so that they can do that which agrees to their nature and the purpose for which they were created. The hearts’ stepping outside the bounds of steadfastness in obedience (istiqāmah) could either be due to its dryness and harshness or the absence of doing that which is desired of it [comprising the worship of its Lord]. In this respect it is like the mute tongue or the eye that cannot see due to some form of illness or defect that prevents the completion of these actions and their occurring with firmness.

This is why the hearts have been classified into three types:

1.    The healthy, secure heart which contains no impediment preventing it from accepting the truth, loving it and giving it preference other than its coming to know of it. Therefore its recognition of the truth is correct and it is complete with respect to its submission and acceptance of it.
2.    The dead, harsh and dry heart that does not accept the truth nor submit to it.
3.    The diseased heart, when its disease predominates than it joins the ranks of the dead and harsh heart but if its soundness predominates it joins the ranks of the truthful and secure heart.

Anything that is directed to the person by Shaytān such as his making him hear certain words, or suggests to the heart such as suspicion and doubt act as a trial for the latter two types of hearts and serve to further strengthen the living, truthful and secure heart.

This is because the living heart rejects all of this, dislikes it and hates it for it knows that the truth opposes it. Therefore it submits to the truth, is satisfied with it and submits to it. It knows the fallacy of that which Shaytān has directed to it and therefore increases with respect to its certainty of the truth, its love of it, its rejection of falsehood and its dislike of it.

However the heart put to trial remains in doubt and dispute concerning what was directed to it by Shaytān. The healthy, secure heart, on the other hand, is not harmed by what Shaytān directs to it.

Hudhyafah bin al-Yamān said that the Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) said,
Trials and tribulation will be presented to the heart [one after another] in the same way that the mat is knitted together, reed by reed. Any heart that accepts them will have a black spot form on it. Any heart that rejects them will have a white spot put on it until the hearts end up being one of two types: a black heart, murky and like an overturned vessel, it does not know the good and does not reject the evil, [all it is seeks] is that which its base desires seek; and a white heart which will not be harmed by trials for as long as the heavens and the earth remain.[4]
Hence he likened the appearance of trails to the heart to knotting the reeds of a mat, one after the other.

He divided the hearts into two types based on how they react to these trials:

1.    A heart that accepts the trials when presented to it in the same way that a sponge soaks in water. Therefore it has a black spot form on it, and it will keep on accepting these trials until it becomes totally black and inverted. This is the meaning of his saying, “like an overturned vessel” i.e. inverted. Then when it becomes black and inverted, it is subjugated to the following two dangerous diseases that thrust it to destruction:
a.    Its confusion of the good and evil, hence it does not know the good or reject the evil. It is also possible that its disease lead him to believing the good to be evil and the evil to be good, Sunnah to be bid‘ah and bid‘ah to beSunnah and truth to be falsehood and falsehood to be truth.
b.    Its giving precedence to its base desires when seeking judgement rather than that which the Messenger (peace be upon him) came with, its yielding to them and following them.

2.    A white heart that has been set ablaze with the light of faith and its niche has been illuminated. When a trial is presented to it, it rejects it and represses it and hence its light, blaze and strength increase.

The trials that are presented to the hearts are the causes of its disease. They are the trials of carnal desires and doubts, the trials of aimless wandering and misguidance, the trials of sins and innovations and the trials of oppression and ignorance.

The first type [i.e. carnal desires] lead to the corruption of desire and intent and the second type [i.e. doubts] lead to the corruption of knowledge and belief.

The Companions (RAM) divided the hearts into four categories as is authentically reported from Hudhayfah bin al-Yamān that the hearts are of four types:
·         The heart that has solely been illuminated by a blazing torch and that is the heart of the believer.
  • The heart that is encased and that is the heart of the disbeliever.
  • The heart that is inverted and that is the heart of the hypocrite – he knew and then rejected, he saw only to become blind.
  • The heart that has two urges: an urge calling it to faith and an urge calling it to hypocrisy. It belongs to the need that predominates it.[5]

The meaning of his saying, ‘a heart that has solely…’ means a heart that has detached itself of everything besides Allāh and His Messenger. Therefore it has separated and secured itself from everything save the truth.

The meaning of his saying, ‘illuminated by a blazing torch’ refers to the niche of faith. Therefore he indicated by his words, ‘that has solely…’ that is secure from the false doubts and misguiding carnal desires. He indicated by his words, ‘a blazing torch’ that it was set ablaze and illuminated by the light of knowledge and faith.

The ‘encased heart’ refers to the heart of the disbeliever because it is immersed by a veil and covering and hence the light of knowledge and faith cannot reach it. This is as Allāh said, relating from the Jews that they said,
And they say: our hearts are wrapped.[6]
This veil is the covering that Allāh has placed on their hearts by way of punishment for their rejecting the truth and being too arrogant to accept it. Therefore it is a covering upon the hearts, a seal for the ears and a blindness for the eyes. This is the obscuring screen upon the eyes talked about in His saying,
And when you recite the Qur’ān, We out between you and those who believe not in the Hereafter, an obscuring screen. We have put coverings over their hearts lest they should understand it and deafness in their ears.[7]
When the people who have these types of hearts are admonished to purify their Tawhīd and following (ittibā‘), they turn on their heels and run!

The ‘inverted heart’ refers to the heart of the hypocrite as Allāh, the Exalted says,
Then what is the matter with you that you are divided into two parties regarding the hypocrites? Allāh has cast them back [to disbelief] because of what they have earned.[8]
This means that he causes them to relapse and return to the falsehood that they used to be in due to their earning their invalid and false deeds.

These are the most evil of hearts and the vilest of them for it believes falsehood to be the truth and shows love and allegiance to those who follow it. It also believes the truth to be falsehood and displays enmity to those who follow it. The Aid of Allāh is sought!

The ‘heart that has two urges’ refers to the heart that has not become established upon faith and neither has its torch illuminated it because it has not devoted itself solely to the truth that Allāh sent His Messenger with. Instead it contains some faith and some of its opposite and hence it is closer to disbelief than faith sometimes and at other times it is closer to faith than disbelief. The heart follows whatever is predominating in it.

LIFESTYLE

Required is a lifestyle change, for most; rebuilding life after major changes have taken place and new awareness has come forth. Having been independent all of life there is a level of dependency that is difficult to handle, with the added level of vulnerability that comes with it. Was it naive to think that sewing skills would never be needed

Could you limit the amount of technology one moves around with in order not to complicate life, to find that they were no longer luxuries but essentials in a today world, in which we expect people to smile and say hi.

Smart living, smart working and smart travelling.

Not heavy boned or over weight by nature, laziness and sweet substitutes, ill placed. Having found the sweetest, I will see where the PT has got to/3 months.

STILL MY BABY

It was a day like today, the snow had been freshly falling the nights before. We decided to go out and make a snow man and play in the snow before it all melted.

As people went by they smiled and beeped their horns because it looked like great fun to be playing in the snow.

There was no school that day, as we had checked via the local radio station and it meant some extra holidays.

Gloves, scarves and jackets; and ear muffs too if you were prone to getting cold ears.

We quickly bought a disposable camera and took lots of pictures in the snow before it melted. We had the pictures developed the same day because we could not wait to see how they looked.

We planed to take more pictures the next day and hoped that the snow had not melted by then.

Central london.

Life had taken a turn for the better, but at this moment such conclusions were not evident. In order to avoid the inner city traffic I decided to take the bus from outside my home to outside the office. I had not planned for changing busses in the middle of my journey and soon discovered the required bus in order to complete my journey. I had waited rather a long time for the next bus to arrive. It was the middle of the day and the bus service somewhat deteriorated as the busy rush had passed. As I descended from one bus, I began to board upon the arrival of the long awaited bus.

During comments on blogs and my web sites it appeared that people had become more aware. Much to my amazement adults women, obviously not elderly women, but women of employable age that had also awaited the arrival of the next bus had descended their behaviour to that of meer animals.  The orderly queue that had previously formed had now become a rumble behind me and as I approached to tap my bus pass onto the machine, the women behind me began to push past me, to the extent they were attempting to push my hand and bus pass out of the way to get onto the bus before me.

I had not experienced behaviour such as this In the past and was much astounded, as the women walked past they called out' . As always, upon awakening in the morning the first action of the day would be to take a quick shower if one needs to be in time for a meeting or to bathe if it will be more of a relaxed start to the day.  For a short bus ride, no extraneous activity was required. It soon became evident that these women were commenting out of jealousy. For so called city workers with increased levels of pay  with added London weighting costs their levels of jealousy were surprising,  and the levels of discontentment at their own lives increasingly apparent.

There is so much information that can be lost in the translation and other people's translation's that it is important to read the Quran directly in Arabic. Subconscious had become diplomatic without realising.

Increase numbers of inaccurate supporters to promote inaccurate and biased information.

TODAY, and for years women that have been in abusive relationships are not aware of the fact that they are in mentally abusive relationships. They are taught to understand that, that behaviour is normal. They are continuously programmed that way and it takes years for these women to change their state of mind. These women tend to be from very highly paid jobs and successful career positions, but a women that has suffered mental abuse can range from any age, origin or nationality.

If Allah has given women this right in islam, why would you at least not try it.

If it means that you have to change your life, then you need to question which parts of your life are not halal and protect even your eyes and ears.

There is so much around you, that is haram, that you are not aware of.

Ask Allah always to help you with anything.

There is a knowledge that women lack that prevents them from wearing these clothes.

Sometimes people try to peer at the women's eyes as they walk or drive past in their cars. For this reason there is a hijab as in the picure on the right.

the text has been repeated here, from the right for clarity.

THE BENEFITS OF BREAST FEEDING

Image description

one is often puzzled by the native english speaker, whom has problems pronouncing names of an asian origin when, names of an english origin have the exact same number of syllabals.

Why bankers are still paying themselves huge bonuses, even in the recession, and if the government will bail them out again and make UK residents pay ?

Why do women think with their brains?

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US.

One day can consist of telling your daughter that she can not wear her tights with her dress in the freezing cold to find that a grown adult is wearing his tights and ringing a bell. Just to be told by your daughter that the adult is wearing his tights, in the cold.

Meeting a couple of girls that worked on the cruise liners, tell you their story of how they stepped on a spike but had to keep dancing till the end and the feet have never recovered.

To walking home one evening after an Islamic lecture to walk past a man stabbed, lying on the floor on the floor, knowing that an ambulance has already been called and someone is already putting pressure on the stab wound, to rush home to tell your parents, only to be told now they wont let us go out again.

One thing one does know is that god creates situations and puts love in our hearts for others. A Muslim has always offered a warm smile, and helped in some way or another, beat boxing and wrapping is allowed. Not to say that all non Muslims are not, but at least with Muslims there exists a book called the Quran and although this may give cause to sound like a specific promotion it cant be left unsaid simply for that reason.

So there are some things that one is sure that it is not feasible to even contemplate such an idea whereas with other things one falls in love again and again.

Unacceptable habits are hard to change and sometimes people just misunderstand, there is no point in worrying about that which not in our control but hope that we use that we have to best of our ability.

I have had the luxury of having to work mostly with people that I like and do jobs that I enjoy, which is not to say that I have not worked so hard. Waking in the morning to put electronically expressed milk in bottles, before everyone wakes, to be interrupted in meetings because the obvious expressed bottles of milk in the fridge can not be seen. Too embarrassed to tell a friend that I had not actually just woken up at that time to feed the baby but that I had not been sleeping for 24 hours most days, sending emails and writing letters, opening mail in the bathroom, while washing, breast feeding one baby while feeding the other in a bouncer, because everyone else is too busy doing little else to help. But because I love my children and it is no effort and continue.

I know the au-pair can have what I have put in the bin because god has given me more and she was polite enough to ask.

What is upsetting is not that I can not have loved ones around me, but when people do not treat my children with the same love and care with which I loved and cared for them, to be told that because people find it hard to believe I could have worked so hard, knowing that the only reason that they continue with such actions is the result of their own ignorance and the excuse with which they wish to slow you down.

There is always a friend that will tell you that the reason that people will not talk to you is because people are so jealous and that Allah can see everything.

Maybe the reason that you're friend from nursery believes you is because she knows that you would never tell her a lie.  The reason that people tell you their story and secrets is because they know you will not tell.

Children in third world countries that collect waste paper from the streets, to sell, to stay alive, live in unbelievable poor conditions, have such amazing wonderful skin and the challenge in life that they are presented with nothing compared to the morning traffic or the coffee machine that did not work.

Money and wealth is not something that is advertised or bragged about and is seen in different forms.

Later on in life I could see why people had the arrogance and the snobbery with which they spoke, reasons which I could not see before. It was due to the stereotypes these people had, with which they were viewing the world and the fact that they thought they had reached a place no one other could have, not realising that that many others had done so before and much many more were in a much better situation. The need to have to explain in great detail by which I had not done so previously, which lead to the misunderstandings of people.

I did ask Allah for proof and I saw it in many a form ranging from the innocence of  a child to the intricate complex manner in which a person's mind can work to gain the corruptions in life.

I found Allah and the ultimate truth of the Quran, after having read thousands of books, to then discover that all parallels cannot be made with logic.

I was annoyed because the boys had been drinking too much hot chocolate from the machine,  we were in Watford and they had been taken to work on a Sunday, and I popped into a shop. she was the owner of the firm of solicitors and for obvious reasons they had made a connection. The solicitors were hiding obvious information, their logic was making no sense and there had been no justification to have solicitors out of residential location.

I asked the driver a week in advance if he would drop me to the airport and he said that it would be no problem. He drove the employees between the office and the car park that was positioned a distance away. I reminded him again the morning of the flight and he when I caught up with him he said he had been waiting for half an hour.  I had to finish off some work. I arrived in plenty of time and I met my dad at the airport and we flew to Pakistan. I could get away before and only had 11 days worth of holidays. My sister had been previously and I had given her a list. On the way back I was travelling alone and was dropped of at the airport. My dad decided to slip this person at checkout a few rupees and told him to make sure that I got on the right plane back. This guy decided to use the rupees that my dad has given him and a piece of his own initiative to get a tray with a brew of tea , milk and a sugar pot. I had to tell him; look I do not drink tea, or coffee and now he knows I am travelling alone. It was really uncomfortable and I told him I cant give you my number, eventually he left saying that I did not talk much and I am not sure if he said some other comments too; thanks to a few rupees.

When I was studying for my GCSE'S I found the standard of education, of a some what compromising standard, so I went to a private school based in central London to see how it compared to the level of educations that I was receiving. Obviously private education was a lot more advanced; the standard of education given. I would have cherished the opportunity to have studied in such an environment. I was given a tour of this educational establishment and I was told that I would very likely be asked to model for the arts class but not to worry; as I would be paid. The cost of such an education is not cheap and it is an opportunity to be cherished. I still continue to live my life irrespective of meeting the values that the judgement of others places upon it; of people that do not really know me.

I come from a place that would be called underprivileged, poverty stricken and deprived; I could not remember that last word, but its never really been an obstacle, because I have never let it become one. We would never mention that to one another, though.

I used to go to the law school for fish and chips on a Friday, it was just across the road from the place I was renting with my sister.. We used to take our socks off and throw them under the table we revised on and I wore hers the next day; she thought it was funny. We argued, she thought I would cook for her daily, so she locked herself in the bathroom and revised for her exam the next day, as I was too sad to study; did not have an exam the next day and I sat with her in hospital, and felt sick, when she had an operatation when I should have been doing my exams. The next day I need find a revision sheet, that had been prepared earlier.

Workout in the gym and then in the pool as, the water lifts the weight.

Do not eat from pans, once the non stick coating has worn away as that causes cancer, even though your Analon pans turn up in Dubai.

I was left all alone in a room to unpack a server all by myself with just a manual and I was not scared at all.

I spoke to this women on the phone, she was finding it hard to speak to me,but she was a councillor I could tell,  she was a lesbian, should I have been talking to her at all. I wanted to know if certain things were acceptable. OMG that must have been how she came to being a lesbian.

Its that time again when you decide to have a conversation wih the lift, and when the doors open, theres a crowd quitely laughing and your sister wants to say..., but she cant because your paying for half, which is why she just rolls out the bed, through the window and ends up in lectures.

Whats the first thing you do once you have checked in to your hotel room, I am sure its not empty the mini bar and fill it with kids things.

I saw a very clever boy walking to school with his mum laughing; and a man so polite, mannered and humble.

I asked that I had just done istakaharai, but I had not got the answear that I wanted, and that how could I do istakhari and get the answear that I wanted. She said that if I wanted to do whatever I wanted to do, then what was the point of doing istakhari. So I explained that I did want to do istakahara but to get the answear that I wanted. The whole point of doing istakhara is that you ask Allah for guidance and that the right path be made easy. The reason we ask Allah is because he is the creator.

One day a group of kerb crawlers set up camp at the bottom of my parents road and we wondered how long they would last in neighbourhood such as this. My brother had gone off crying and they didnt last long.

I remember sitting there late at night after having put the kids to bed and totaling up all the recepts,, I slipped in the macdonalds receipts too and the accountant had not found that too amusing, when I told him it was business dinner meeting expenses. Got some poiters from him and completed some of forms myself saved a small fortune and brought a few essential fashion items.

One of my friends dad worked for the council and another of my friend worked in a lab, and they both said people just come up to you and just ask you for things, are you serious, they were heading to camden to get some jacket, I had lessons so I didnt go. Student years would have to be the best years of your life, so enjoy them. they just hold out their rist and say do this and why could you not do this working for the council; what they dont even send an email! yeah.

we dont walk around here, we always sent our brother to the shops.

Some people are so insecure, it doesnt matter what you laugh at they always think that you are laughing at them.

[edit]Biography

As a young girl, she already had an ambition for professional reporting. Stimulated at 14 by the publication of a letter she sent to the Evening Chronicle in Newcastle, she was determined to become a journalist. At 16, she wrote to every newspaper group in the UK and subsequently she attended a journalism course at the London College of Printing. Since then she has written for The Sunday TimesThe Independent on SundayThe ObserverThe Mirror and the News of the World and she was deputy editor of Wales on Sunday. She was chief reporter when the Sunday Express, sent her to Afghanistan after 9/11.[2]

She has also worked as a broadcaster, producer and presenter on programmes for BBC TV and radio, CNNITN and Carlton TV travelling to Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza and the West Bank. A founder member of Women in Journalism, she was also a promoter of women’s rights, although after she converted to Islam, she publicly criticised some aspects of the 'sisterhood' promoted by Western feminism.[3] She is also a founder member of the Stop The War Coalition and the respect political party.

In her spare time Ridley travels throughout the UK and across the globe promoting peace and the anti-war message.[citation needed] She has also delivered lectures on issues relating to Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Kashmir and Uzbekistan, Women in Islam, the War on Terror and journalism at universities across the US, Australia, South Africa and the Middle East. Ridley is a founder member of the Friends of Islam, an All Party Parliamentary Group and Women in Journalism. In addition she is a member of the National Union of Journalists, the International Federation of Journalists, a founder of Women in Journalism, and is also a member of the Society of Authors. She has written two books called "In The Hands of the Taliban"[4] and "Ticket to Paradise" and is currently writing and researching for two other titles including a biography of Osama bin Laden. Ridley is a patron of the UK-based pressure groups Cageprisoners and Hhugs. She also devotes much of her time to humanitarian work and charities.[citation needed]

[edit]Personal life

Ridley has married twice.[5] Her first husband was Daoud Zaaroura, a former Palestine Liberation Organization officer. Zaaroura was a PLO colonel when Ridley met him in Cyprus, where she was working on an assignment for the Newcastle-based Sunday Sun. They had one daughter called Daisy who was born in 1992. Her second husband was a detective with Northumbria Police.[6]During her time on the Sunday Sun newsdesk, she told colleagues she was an officer in the Territorial Army, based on Teesside, specialising in intelligence. She had also told the same to colleagues on the Northern Echo.

[edit]Capture by the Taliban

[Yvonne Ridley came to prominence on 28 September 2001, when she was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan whilst working for the Sunday Express. Repeatedly refused an entrance visa, she decided to follow the example of BBC reporter John Simpson, who had crossed the border anonymously in a burqa.

Colleagues said Ridley responded to text messages from friends until 26 September 2001, after having told them she would attempt to cross the border from Pakistan into Afghanistan. It became clear that she had been discovered without passport or visa, and was held by the authorities after being arrested with her guides, the Afghan refugee Nagibullah Muhmand and Pakistani Jan Ali, in a village in the Dour Daba district near the eastern city of Jalalabad in Nangahar, close to the border with Pakistan. She was dressed like an Afghan, but it is believed she was caught after attempting to take photographs, an illegal activity under the Taliban. She was spotted two days later, on 28 September, after slipping across the border by local people who pointed her out to security forces, who took her to Jalalabad for further investigation on possible espionage charges, that carried the death penalty. Shortly before, the Taliban had asked all foreigners to leave the country and had said they would not issue visas to journalists. They threatened that anyone found using a satellite phone would be executed.[7][8]

She would at least be prosecuted for entering the country illegally, reported the Afghan Islamic Press agency, quoting the Taliban's deputy foreign minister, Mullah Abdur Rahman Zahid.[9]

Qudratullah Jamal, the Taliban's information minister, expressed the suspicion that Ridley was possibly a member of a military "special forces" unit like the British SAS.[9][10][11][12] It was also suggested that she and other westerners could be kept by the Taliban as hostages.[13]

The British high commissioner to Pakistan, Hilary Synnott, met the Taliban-ambassador in IslamabadMullah Abdul Salam Zaeef and opened negotiations intended at a quick release of Ridley.[14][15][16] While the press in Britain speculated about the reason of her arrest and the seriousness of the suspicion,[17][18][19] she was kept in solitary confinement for seven days and then moved to a prison in Kabul.[20] In the prison in Kabul she met the Christian missionary Heather Mercer, who was also kept by the Taliban and was unaware of the latest developments[21]

The same week British bombings on Afghan targets as part of the Operation Enduring Freedom began, while the whereabouts of Ridley were unknown to the British authorities and it was feared that these bombings would jeopardise her release.[22][23][24] Then her release, ordered on 'humanitarian grounds' by Taliban-leader Mullah Mohamed Omar, was reported by Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef.[25][26][27][28] After her release on 9 October 2001, when her Taliban captors escorted her from the Kabul prison to a Pakistan border post at the foot of the Khyber Pass, near Peshawar, she revealed that she had kept a concealed diary inside a box for a toothpaste tube and in the inside of a soap wrapper, and had been on hunger strike throughout her captivity, but denied to have been physically hurt in any way.[29][30][31][32][33][34]

After the release of Ridley, her guides Jan Ali and Nagibullah Muhmand, as well as Basmena, the five-year-old daughter of the latter, were kept by the Taliban in a prison in Kabul, according toReporters sans Frontières.[35][36]

[edit]Conversion to Islam

According her own account after her release, during her captivity she was asked by one of her captors to convert to Islam; she refused, but gave her word she would read the Qur'an after her release.

In freedom, she kept this promise, as she said partly to find out why the Taliban treated women as they do.[37] She said it changed her life.[38]

The Qur'an, she says describing the holy book of Islam, is a "magna carta for women".[39] She converted to Islam in the summer of 2003, stating that her new faith has helped put behind her broken marriages and a reputation as the "Patsy Stone of Fleet Street." When comparing her treatment to female prisoners' held in American custody, such as Aafia Siddiqui, she said that in Taliban's custody she was given her full privacy as a woman, and was handed the key to the door of her cell to lock from the inside.[40] In 2004, she described her journey of faith for the BBC's religion site (see A Muslim in the Family), as well as in other publications and on other occasions in which she emerged as a "fierce critic of the West".[41]

[edit]Subsequent career

Ridley's memoir detailing the 11 days she was held captive, In the Hands of the Taliban: Her Extraordinary StoryTicket to Paradise (Dandelion Books, LLC 2003), a novel based on the backdrop of 9/11,[42] was written before she converted to Islam; friends say it was never published in the UK because she was too embarrassed by its risque content.

In December 2001 she expressed worries that officers from Mossad, the Israeli secret service, or from other intelligence agencies were plotting to have her killed, in an effort to boost public support for the war in Afghanistan.[43][44]

She announced a return to Afghanistan,[45] which she did with her daughter Daisy, who also had a great deal of media attention during the captivity of her mother.[46]

2003 saw Yvonne Ridley employed by the Qatar-based media organisation Al Jazeera, where, as a senior editor, she helped launch the English language version of their website. On 12 November of that year she was fired because Al Jazeera found her "overly-vocal and argumentative style" was incompatible with the station’s programme.[47] After her departure from Qatar, she published an article about her experiences there. Her dismissal was also attributed to her campaigning for journalists' rights on the al-Jazeera English channel and website.[48][49][50]

She won her case for unfair dismissal against the organisation,[51] but was asked to return in May 2006 when it lodged an appeal against the Qatari court decision. Ridley won the appeal and the judge ordered her original award be doubled. However Al Jazeera once again lodged an appeal with the case going to the Supreme Court for a final hearing. She won that case through lawyers Gebran Majdalany in December 2007 and was awarded 100,000 Qatari riyals, which equates to around £13,885, damages.[52][53]

Ridley was placed at the top of the Respect coalition's party list at the 2004 European Elections for the North East England region but was not elected.[54] She stood as the Respect candidate at the Leicester South by-election in 2004.[55][56] She came in fourth, with 12.7% of the vote. However, when she stood again in the May 2005 general election, her share of the vote dropped to 6.4%. In the local government elections in 2006 she stood unsuccessfully for a seat on Westminster Council.

She began presenting The Agenda With Yvonne Ridley, the Islam Channel's politics and current affairs show, in October 2005.[57] However, the show and Ridley were axed from the channel after she refused to shake the hand of a Saudi prince at a post-Hajj feast.[citation needed] The channel blamed Ofcom for exerting pressure, which that organisation denies. According to several published reports, Saudi pressure was brought to bear upon the channel head over the hand-shaking incident. The Islam Channel maintains that Ridley "has not been sacked and is still working for us."[58]However in April 2008 Ridley won her case for unfair dismissal and sex discrimination against Mohamed Ali Harrath, the CEO of the Islam Channel as well as the channel. The full 30-page report was published on the website Harrys Place.[59][60][61][62]

Ridley works as a freelance journalist/presenter and for several years, until 30 March 2013 regularly worked for Press TV, the Iranian English language 24-hour news channel,[63] hosting many talk shows among them The Agenda[64] being the major one. She also writes a column for the New York-based Daily Muslims[65] and other publications. In May 2008, in an assignment by Press TV, she and the film-maker David Miller shot a documentary based on Guantanamo Bay after being given unprecedented access to the now defunct Camp X-Ray and the operational Camp Delta, by the US military which operates the naval base in Cuba where hundreds of men, defined as enemy combatants, have been detained since January 2002. Their film Guantanamo: Inside the Wire was nominated in the 2009 Roma TV Film Festival in Italy and in the Al Jazeera Film Festival in Doha 2010. Another of her films, In Search of Prisoner 650 was also nominated in 2010 at the Al Jazeera Film Festival.

Since first August 2008, Yvonne Ridley has joined the Free Gaza Movement[66] in Cyprus as it heads for Gaza to challenge the Israeli siege. Press TV is following the progress of the movement and Yvonne Ridley, who will be on board with Indy film-maker Haq Nawaz, and is publishing her blogs to Press TV's website.[67] The SS Free Gaza and the SS Free Liberty both arrived without incident in Gaza on 23 August. During their brief stay Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh gave a rare interview to Yvonne Ridley which was later broadcast on Press TV. As the free Gaza Movement activists departed four days later Gaza PM Haniyeh issued genuine Palestinian passports with diplomatic status to the majority describing them as Ambassadors for Palestine. The film To Gaza with Love by Nawaz and Ridley has been shown in several film festivals and was nominated for an award at a London film festival in 2009.

In November 2008 she and the young award-winning film maker and journalist Hassan al Banna Ghani headed for Afghanistan in the Spring of 2009 to produce a documentary about female prisoners being held by the US. In Search of Prisoner 650 which was broadcast by Press TV. During the making of the film the two came under fire amid a clash between the Taliban and Afghan police on the road to Ghazni. The drama was filmed and used in their documentary.

In March 2009 Ridley and George Galloway, then a respect mp, founded the organisation Viva Palestina and took a convoy of more than 100 vehicles bearing aid across North Africa to Gaza via the Rafah border. Again collaborating with film-maker Ghani, Ridley made a documentary about the 25-day journey called Three Uncles go to Gaza. The film was highly acclaimed by critics at the Istanbul Human Rights film festival in December 2009.

In a column by Dominic Lawson in The Sunday Times on 5 July 2009 Ridley along with other journalists was accused of being a stooge for the Iranian regime.[68]

In January 2011 Ridley made a 40 minute exclusive interview with Mona Thwany, widow of the 2010 Stockholm suicide bomber. Swedish journalists were critical of the interview, saying she asked very few critical questions.[69] Ridley said later, this was "sour grapes" as she was the only journalist given access to the widow.

[edit]Her views

Her vocal support for causes involving Palestine, Iraq, AfghanistanKashmirChechnyaXinjiang and Uzbekistan have made her a popular speaker in anti-war circles.[70] During a February 2006 meeting at Imperial College London[71] Ridley described Israel as "that disgusting little watchdog of America that is festering in the Middle East" and further that her party, the Respect Party, "is aZionist-free party ... if there was any Zionism in the Respect Party they would be hunted down and kicked out. We have no time for Zionists,"[72] while both the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats were "riddled with Zionists."[73][dead link]

At the "Muslimer i Dialog" conference in Copenhagen in September 2005, Ridley was asked if she didn't see it as a problem that militant Islamists distribute recruiting videos of Iraqi insurgentskilling hostages. She replied that it was necessary for Muslims to have these videos at home as an alternative form of news to what she perceived as the propaganda of Western media. At the same meeting she compared British Prime Minister Tony Blair with Pol Pot. Since then Ridley has said that the Danish record and translation of her speech was incorrect.[74] She returned to Copenhagen in May 2006 to take part in a conference on Islamophobia and was given a standing ovation after urging Muslims not to "kneel before their enemies" or "kiss the hand that slaps them."[75] Along with former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke and several other speakers including scholars and politicians, the Copenhagen Declaration was formed and signed.

Critics have accused her of defending the late Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his campaign of violence in Iraq and Jordan, describing the victims of the 9 November 2005 Amman bombings in Jordan, which saw 60 persons killed and 115 injured, as Iraqi collaborators, Saudi, Indonesian and Chinese intelligence officers and the upper echelons of society. The outpouring of public outrage manifested in spontaneous demonstration she described as staged and the work of "Jordanian troops out of uniform" and "government lackeys" together with "Christian and Muslim Bedouins" who had all been commandeered or paid to demonstrate by the Jordanian government and the CIA. Al-Zarqawi was denounced by his family after the bombings, a move that Ridley thought "cowardly." She said of al-Zarqawi himself that she would "rather put up with a brother like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi any day than have a traitor or sell-out for a father, son or grandfather" – a reference to the Jordanian royal family.[76]

At a meeting of the Respect party on 6 June 2006, following the Forest Gate raid, Ridley urged all Muslims in Britain to "boycott the police and refuse to co-operate with them in any way, shape or form until the boys are released," attacking Sami Yusuf including "asking the community copper for directions to passing the time of day with a beat officer." Her comments were labelled as "sheer, undiluted madness" by Shadow Home Secretary David Davis, who added that "To not co-operate would be of no benefit to the Muslim community; no benefit to the police; and no benefit to the security of our country."[77][78][79] But at the time George Galloway, leader of the respect Coalition to which Ridley belongs also distanced himself from her comments, saying "Our policy is not that we should withdraw co-operation from the police."[80] The two men were subsequently released without charge and an official apology was later issued to the family by the Metropolitan Police Force.

To start with, Ridley strongly opposed the Western intervention in the 2011 Libyan civil war, and spoke in a rally opposing it held in Central London. However, after talking with Libyan friends who asked her to "come and see for herself", she travelled to rebel-held Benghazi where she became a wholehearted supporter of the Libyan rebels' cause and accepted that they had no choice by to ask for the Western powers' help. This was expressed in an article entitled "I was wrong to oppose military intervention in Libya – wrong, wrong, wrong" ([3]) which she wrote in Benghazi on 30 April 2011. In February 2012 she expressed her strong support for the end of secret evidence used in the SIAC case against the controversial Jordanian cleric, Abu Qatada, and her opposition to Theresa May's plans to deport him on the basis of the secret evidence from the UK. http://themuslim.ca/2012/02/17/british-justice-in-dock-over-abu-qatad

"thomas alva adison or not".

I dont ask names, incase I mention them by mistake and put someone at risk, but know.

"thomas edison tested over 3000 filaments before he came up with his version of a practical light bulb. as shocking as it may seem, this was not his greatest invention."

I dont know him as the man that invented the light bulb, but the man that tried 3002 times (he tried 3002, we tell the children; its a fact, however people may try to change history) and failed, but only one way to get it right.

EID

One day we decided to take a family friend from Soutwoodford, to the Regents Park Mosque with us for Eid and she had to wait in the toilets with the others sisters in the same sitaution as her. When we met up with her again she said that she had had a great time and it had been such a greet laugh. Wait, thats not the best part, we told her, waiting in the toilets is not the best part of Eid, its the food and meeting all the other friends and relatives and the clothes. we hoped one day we could show a family friend what a great fun day Eid can be.

 ?

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL LET IGNOURANCE BE THE DISEASE OF THE YEAR 2012 ?

GET THE FACTS RIGHT FROM THE START AND USE THE RIGHT TOOLS.

PRESENT THE RIGHT PICTURE.

Acts of kindness and consideration.

So its of no surprise, that it was of no surprise.

In this topsy, turvey world that we live in.

AVOID YEARS OF INACCURATE PROGRAMMING.

ISLAM

 FAIR RELIGION.

Is a fair religion and it does not mean that people should be subjected to all forms of abuse irrespective of what people do, be they family or friends.

If your parents or family or friends are causing you harm or can cause you damage, not to cause them harm its advisable to walk away.

If the only reason people try to keep in contact with you is that they use the excuse of how you are to once again pry into your life and cause you more harm then, its better to walk away and say nothing to them.

Islam is not a religion to be taught blindly to another solely for the reasons of the benefit of another, without the other person educating itself.

I started to wear a scarf about three years ago and the change in people's behaviour was horrific. I was not sure at first if it was the scarf that had caused this and soon learned that it was, but I will always be grateful I know the truth.

I had my CV checked by a number of people and as there was no fault to be found in it, there was no real reason other than plain racism that caused people to behave in the manner that they did.

Having been in a number of different environments, it becomes very easy to detect people that are genuine and people that are trying to take advantage of you. With the extra guidance of the Quran it becomes even more clear so what people intensions and motives are.

I have watched over a number of years how women that wear the scarf are subjected to abuse, being shouted at asked to do errands and jobs that require them to do activities that compromise their belief system, and question their temperament and knowledge for the sake of pleasing Allah but not for the sake of being game for the people that do not have the same values and morals.

I had promised to do a few favours for some sisters and brothers and arrived a little late. I was surprised to see a man standing there taking notes. I wondered does he even have a clue as to why I am here, what I am doing and who I have come to see. I wondered how much it was costing the government to go to such lengths to prove that the action of Muslim were acts of madness.

Technology will stop working all of a sudden; people will speak to you in a derogatory manner in seconds because of the strong stereo type they hold of you. Then expect you to do things for free because of your good nature, which is not what being a Muslim is.

A mehram, is a person that protects his wife, can be a brother that protects his sister, so that she is not subjected to such behaviour because of the kind temperament that she has and is human after all. A relationship is not to be so selfish or so unbalanced. The women work together for a better life and do not compete with one another for the attention of the man/husband.

It is not acceptable to use the values, and morals and virtues of Islam to get what you want, to do harm, that defeats all object of Islam and will therefore not work.

It is not acceptable to preach about islam, and give islamic advice and live as a complete non muslim in private and think that no one will notice.

Islamic schools are great at teaching the really difficult things but they sometines lack in conveying the really, really  simple things.

Give halall earnings to your wife to spend, so that the halall money can feed your children.

I do believe that Muslim people are in the UK, to teach the ways of ISLAM for non Muslims to practise haram.

A conversation overheard said that a BBM was essential after a four year relationship with a chick, whereas the sign, someone had added to the sign in the mosque telling, to switch of the mobile phone, presented itself with a different messages with which it asked Allah. It said Allah please connect me to my wife.

NEWS

The news is whatever, it is said the news is; a selection of topics that are decided to be discuss at a particular point in time.

Please help out the sisters begging in the market place with food products so that they do not have to be propositioned inappropriately, as observed one evening whilst walking home from working on my web site one night.

The library has installed the state of the art Information Technology suite but the only problem is that it does not work. If you are a particular favourite then they will log you on individually, let us hope the olympics is not like this too.

I can not believe I posted some comments on YAHOO and they just were not shown.

Ethnic minorities pay a fee in order to come into the country unless they are part of the European community and sign a declaration to say that they will not claim benefits for the duration of the time they are in the UK, and most arrive as a skilled labour force.

The legal professionals all drink in the same pub and therefore pass information around freely, in order to prolong the case for as long as possible and extract as much money as possible from the client that they are representing.

This is public funding money that the legals are taking for themselves in the form of legal aid which is given to the client as a loan but the government will not give people money to set up their own business in the form of a loan.

The polish were invited to come to the UK, with the promise of jobs and were able to claim benefits and make use of the council housing as they were part of the EC. They have since found the land and property in their own country to have shot up in cost along with the cost of living.

The English language has been known to be an incredibly cold language. Arabic was chosen to be the language of the Quran, and if the Quran is not read in Arabic then substantial amount of the meaning is lost, but the surprisingly the English language has meant the use of two contradicting terms in one sentence. there are two contradictions, as there is no such thing as an Islamic law Society, as Islam follows the law of Allah and the Law follows the law of the land.

When the price of gold was at it highest, there was realms of gold that were found at other parts of the world and this information was deliberately kept quite to keep the price of gold high. This may not necessarily have been a bad thing, if you were at that moment selling gold, but valuable information non the less.

The centre in Leyton, thought it brought me out of hypnosis today by counting to 10. I called on the office telephone line, and they offered to call me back from a private number because the office number's phone calls are recorded. Then a guy that works as a psychiatrists/assessment member counted to 10 thinking he was taking me out of hypnosis. It is a really sad state of affairs that we have to live in today when people think that they are actually able to do this, after he had the nerve to tell me that he was a professional. I remember having spoken to a psychiatrist once and he told me how women had been used to engage in sexual activity without their awareness or knowledge of what they had been doing, with so called professionals. Listening to the translation of the Quran and following its teachings will avoid the hypnosis from working.

The torah, which is the Jewish holy book has instructed the women also to cover their head and wear a scarf. Do they, no. Instead they shave their heads and wear a wig, because they think they are so clever and can trick god.

Can you believe that when I searched for the particular job, that I used to did, it came back with nothing found, yet the specialist recruitment companies had no trouble.

Why is the tabloid obsessed with gypsies again and again, is this another one their strategies to undermine yet again another particular group of people that have nothing to do with the group of people that they are trying to associate them with.

New crepes shop opened locally, I just came from upstairs, they asked how I was doing, they gave me all the legal info before they went to check out the new place.

It is obvious, being played. Shy and Sib; Chesham, naive to think otherwise, there is only one way to see it through, people do not realise they are being used and their weaknesses played on.

I started working when I was 12 years old. I worked in a shoe shop for 4 hours. I needed a work permit to work and got paid £1.38 per hour and worked for 4 hours every Saturday

Its great to help the local fruit and vegtable stalls with their business, just becarefull they do not presurise you to buy their old fruit and vegtables as these products are best consumed at their freshest.

SHE AS FROM EITHER SLOVAKIA OR BOSNIA AND WAS DRESSED IN A HIJAB. SHE SAID SHE HAD TWO CHILDREN AND THAT HER MOTHER A LOOKING AFTER THEM. SHE CALLED ME SISTER AS SHE SPOKE TO ME AND I WOUNDERED WHY SHE HAD NOT BEEN REMOVED AS BEGGING AND PROSTITUTION WERE ILLEGAL.

Picture from the torch procession in London, it was a nice sunny day.

It was the question on everyones mind, how would the streets be policed ?

WALTHAM FOREST COLLEGUE most of the people are actually really nice and it is actually just a few people that let the collegue down; security staff, canteen staff, woman at reception.

WE JUST DONT GO TO THE JUNGLE

Most of Walthamstow is sick. It is one thing for people to behave a certain way in younger teen years, but quite another for grown adults to start shaking their heads from a distance whislt looking at you. Comes to mind, concerns and one wounders what must have possessed such this person and one may be inclined to walk over and ask the individual that sits with friends; why he is shaking his head in such this uncontrollable fashion, which you do not know and have nevermet in your life before. Is it because he may have a dysfunctional ego; possibly egotistical. Because; could it be he is trying to show his friends that you have some inuendo with your eyes and he is trying to show his frinds his disapproval as a response.  I am afraid the definition of egotistical has changed as I was waiting for the web site to publish and it does not mean a person that has a twisted view of the world but a person that is so preconsumed of by its ego, that it controls most of its actions. So then you decide not to waste your time with the small minded egotistical amongst us.

It can be used as a filler, between courseS. I THOUGHT THIS PLACE MAY HAVE CHANGED AFTER ALL THOSE MANY YEARS. I would never have gone to waltham forest collegue whilst I was living here before as it always had such a bad repution. But as I had some spare time between course I thought that I would try it.

its so strange

there are so many people eves dropping your conversation, the woman in the computer lab will keep correcting the chairs near you just to over hear the conversation.

The security man deliberately keeps bumping into the girls, he walks upto you, looks the other way and then walks straight into the girls. When I mentioned it  to a sister, she said he does that all the time and he is a real pervert and no one tried to stop him or complain about him. Problem is it is the only bit of excitement that they have in their life and no respect for women.

This man with a beard walked into the college for a meeting and asked me the way to the room and this english boy jumped at him from the other side of the room, graped his letter to read and said he would take him. if this person had been asked to help he would have ignored the request. These poeeople o out of their way to see what the business of a muslim person is, and yet would not allow their own business to be uncovered to read by a stanger in this manner.

a number of the canteen staff will just blatantly ignore the muslim gilrs, eventhough there is a few pleasnt people there.

todays lesson was particularly strange as there is a black girl which causes no end of trouble and she was sat at thr front facing the class. I didnt actually see her as I sat behind someone elsa. but the rest of the students in the class told me. Her colour is of significance  because its as if the collegue are goin out of their way to promote her. It wouldnt be a problem, except for the fact that the first time I met here, she walked into the class room late and hit me on the head with her bag, crushed my fingers between the side of the chair and, and when this guy next to me pulled out this chair to make space for me to move m ychair along as he could see she being very disruptive, she banged her chair into me again. I asked her if she would be descent enough to wait as we were in the process of making space to move the chairs. Then I was told by the other students that her bahaviour had actually been like this for a while and they were all finding it difficult to deal and work with her. Today there were and were still waiting a number of people to complain about her. She is deliberately being priveleges and being chanelled for a specific reason, yet her bahaviour is so rude, she rarely talks to anyone and sits alone. I did ask if she had a special need for which she should be ignored for her bad behaviour, but was told that there was no reason. Eventhough it is collegue policy to not eat in the lesson she continues to do and even when asked repeatedly to put her food away, it must have been about 7 times she continues to eat in class.

I would suspect that she has been havily abused sexually and the collegue are trying to exploit this within her personality to thier advantage by showing her favours that are not allowed to other students. any student with such preferencial treatment in comparison to other students in a class would be seen to excell from it. Its possible she would have also been planted in the class on purpose to see how the other students respond to her irratic and irrational behaviour, but then even the teacher in another class lost her temper with her, so that would show that not to be the case.

If anyone is late or is going to miss a lesson, they are being asked to text the lecturer so that their every move can be tracked. There is being used a systematic process of blackening a person's character by using people in positions of authority that I come across to label me with false accusations and labels, today I was told that I should not get involved with someone that hit me on the head with her handbag, it was a bit hard to avoid really.

Its obvious that the asian librarian is sleeping with a very large number of the students, and as an adult he would be free to do as he wishes but is it fair for him to then claim to be a muslim with that conduct and then marry an innoscent genuine muslim girl and then opress her and continue with his promiscious behaviour which he has adapted from the collegue. There is a lot of promiscious behaviour that can be seen in universities, but the students are adults then, at this collegue location in specific, there is a lot of very young children here and it just can not be appropriate for the staff to be able to conduct themselves in this manner. Most students have formed a relationship with another student by this point and it works well for the students to be part of this unit and as most people are quite deeply scared and anyone that has not formed a relationship is picked up by the libraran and becomes as, what is referred to as a term that is called the bitch. The problem then arises when the female that has formed part of the relationship and the bitches of the librarian realise, when collegue comes to an end, that they had simply been used. therefore marriage could be the only secure realistic relationship to form.

It cannot be acceptable for the collegue staff to sleep with it students, especially following the incident that has occured with the rescent teacher that ran away with his student.

Such strange behaviour is a recipe for disaster trouble.

They are actually getting together players for their entertainment, thats what all this about.

Which is why it would always have been a problem to work on the TV, due to the actions of the free masons. It is not enough to simply pretend and ignore that such actions and behaviour does exist.

Suggestions from God - Salah tul Istikhara

It takes years to perfect this prayer; but offer what you can and ultimately it is up to Allah to accept and guide.

"Istikhara" means to seek goodness from Allah (Exalted is He), meaning when one intends to do an important task they do istikhara before the task. The one who does the istikhara is as if they request Allah Almighty that, O the Knower of Unseen (Exalted is He) guide me if this task is better for me or not?

According to Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 21, Number 263:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah :The Prophet (Sallal Laho Alaihi Wasallam) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara, in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Quran. He said, "If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two Rakat prayer other than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer):

WAY TO PERFORM ISTIKHARA:
First pray Two Cycles (raka') of ritual Prayer (nafil) such that in the first raka' after Surah Fatiha (Allhamd…) recite Surah al-Kafirun (Chapter 109) and in the second raka' after Fatiha (Allhamd…) recite Surah al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112). After finishing prayer recite this (supplication/dua'): Dua in Arabic Text above.

TRANSLATION: "O Allah! I seek goodness from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might) I seek strength, and I ask from You Your Great Blessings, because You have the Power and I do not have the power. You Know everything and I do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen. Oh Allah! If in Your Knowledge this action ------------------------------------------------ (which I intend to do) is better for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for me and make it easy for me and then add blessings [baraka'] in it, for me. O Allah! In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and whatever is better for me, ordain [destine] that for me and then make me satisfied with it."

How many times?
It depends. Sometimes it takes only once to get the answer and sometimes it takes longer. It is better to do istakhara seven (7) times. If you have received an answer as explained in the section below, stop doing istikhara. You do not have to continue to do isitkhara for 7 days. It is better that right after reciting the supplication, given above, sleep with ablution (people who cannot keep the ablution for longer times due to health problems do not have to worry about ablution before falling asleep) facing the direction of the Qibla (facing the Qibla is not required but it is a Sunnat of our beloved Prophet Peace Be Upon Him). It is better to recite salutations (durood/ salawat) on the Prophet Allah's Grace and Peace be upon him before and after the above Dua (supplication).

Answer:
If in the dream one sees whiteness (means any thing white in color, for example: milk, white paper, white sky, white clothes, white light etc.) or greenness (means any thing green in color, for example: grass, plants, trees, green clothes, green light etc.) then understand that this task is better and if one sees redness (means any thing red in color, for example: blood, red clothing, red fruit, red light etc.) or blackness (means any thing black in color, for example: black water, black light, black clothings, black sky, black wall etc. ) then understand it is bad and avoid it.

If do not remember any dream or do not see any colors then follow your heart. Whatever intention grows stronger in your heart regarding your targated work follow it after seven days of Istakhara.

A step-by-step description of how to pray Salat-ul-Istikhara and, Insha Allah, how to interpret it.

BEFORE downloading any of  the above documents, please view the videoclips included on this web page. They are meant to help you recite the Istikhara dua correctly, and to understand the significance of the Istikharaprayer, Insha Allah.  The step-by-step process is listed in the blue box below, and the du’a you need to recite is highlighted in yellow.  You can also download an English only version step-by-step description of how to pray Salat Istikhara by clicking here.

What is Salat ul Istikhara?

Source: Fiqh-us-Sunnah, volume 2, number 32 and volume 4, number 141.
Often, we have to make major life-changing decisions: whether to undertake a major project or not, whether to apply for a promotion or not, whether to change career or not, whether to invest in a certain company or not, whether to get married or not, whom to get married to, etc.

Istikhara (Arabic) means to ask Allah to guide one to the right thing concerning any affair in one’s life, especially when one has to choose between two permissible alternatives, e.g. a career choice, getting married, etc.  Similarly, a traveller should consult good righteous persons before setting out on a journey, because Allah says, “And consult them (O Prophet) in affairs (of moment),” (Qur’an, 3: 159) and one of the characteristics of the believers is that “they (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation” (Qur’an, 42: 38). Qatadah said, “Every people who seek the pleasure of Allah and consult with one another are guided to the best course in their affairs.” The traveller should also make istikharah and seek guidance from Allah.

Sa’ d ibn Waqas reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Istikharah (seeking guidance from Allah) is one of the distinct favors (of Allah) upon man, and a good fortune for the son of Adam is to be pleased with the judgment of Allah. And a misfortune of the son of Adam is his failure to make istikharah (seeking Allah’s guidance), and a misfortune for the son of Adam is his displeasure with the judgment of Allah.” Ibn Taimiyyah said, “He who seeks guidance from the Creator and consults the creatures will never regret it.”

How does one pray Salat ul Istikhara?

Salatul Istikharah is a sunnah of the Prophet (s).   It is a prayer that one may pray if one must choose between permissible alternatives: it is two non-obligatory rak’at (that can be recited separately or in combination with the regular sunnah prayers or the prayer for entering the mosque [...] during any time of the day or night, and to recite therein whatever one wishes of the Qur’an after reciting al-Fatihah. After the two-rak’ats, one praises Allah and sends salutations to the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam and recites the following supplication which has been recorded by al-Bukhari in Jabir’s hadith (see full text below): “The Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam would teach us al-istikhara for all of our affairs as he would teach us a surah from the Qur’an. He said: ‘If one of you is deliberating over an act, he should pray two non-obligatory rak’at and say:O Allah, I consult You as You are All-Knowing and I appeal to You to give me power as You are Omnipotent, I ask You for Your great favor, for You have power and I do not, and You know all of the hidden matters . O Allah ! If you know that this matter (then the person reciting the du’a should mention the matter for which he is seeking Allah’s Guidance) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and for my life in the Hereafter, (or he said: ‘for my present and future life,’) then make it (easy) for me. And if you know that this matter is not good for me in my religion, my livelihood and my life in the Hereafter, (or he said: ‘for my present and future life,’) then keep it away from me and take me away from it and choose what is good for me wherever it is and please me with it.”

The following hadith (referred above in Fiqh-us-Sunnah) is narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah about Salat-ul-Istikhara in Sahih Bukhari (volume 2, hadith number 263 and again volume 9, hadith 487):

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara (Istikhara means to ask Allah to guide one to the right sort of action concerning any job or a deed), in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Quran. He said, “If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two Rakat prayer other than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer)‘Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi’ilmika, Wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, Wa asaluka min fadlika al-’azim Fa-innaka taqdiru Wala aqdiru, Wa ta’lamu Wala a’lamu, Wa anta ‘allamu l-ghuyub. Allahumma, in kunta ta’lam anna hadha-l-amra (then the person reciting the du’a should mention the matter for which he is seeking Allah’s Guidance)   Khairun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati amri (or ‘ajili amri wa’ajilihi) Faqdirhu li wa yas-sirhu li thumma barik li Fihi, Wa in kunta ta’lamu anna hadha-lamra shar-run li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati amri (or fi’ajili amri wa ajilihi) Fasrifhu anni was-rifni anhu. Waqdir li al-khaira haithu kana Thumma ardini bihi.

Note from Rafik BeekunI have included the french, german and spanish translations of the above dua at the end of this post.

Similar hadiths were reported by Jabir (r) in Sahih Bukhari (volume 8, hadith number 391).

Note from Rafik Beekun: If you have trouble with the arabic version of the dua for Istikhara, here is a dua video where the dua is being recited in arabic.  Both the arabic version of the du’a, its english transliteration, and translation are included. Please use it to practice reciting the dua correctly before praying Salat Istihara:

Salat ul Istikhara: Prayer for consultation

Memorizer for the du’a for Salat ul Istikhara

If you cannot view the above video clip, please click here to hear the MP3 version of it.

To summarize,  here is how you pray Salat-ul-Istikhara step-by step:

  • Perform Wudu (the ablution) if you do not have it already.
  • Pray 2 raka’at either with the intention of praying Istikhara separately by itself  or jointly with  two non-obligatory rak’at (e.g. the regular sunnah prayers or the prayer for entering the mosque, or tahajjud.) Please make sure that you are not praying during the three times when it is undesirable to pray [The Prophet (s) said:   “There is no prayer after the Fajr until the sun (sufficiently) rises; and there is no prayer after the ‘Asr until the sun completely sets.” [Muslim, 1041, agreed upon].  Again, in another hadith reported in Muslim 1040, it is narrated: “ Three were the times at while Allah’s Messenger ( ) forbade us from praying or burying our dead (ie. funeral prayer): when the sun begins to rise until it is fully up; when the sun is at its height until it passes the meridian; and when the sun begins to set until it is completely set. [Muslim, 1040]”  Please note if istikhaarah is done for something that is immediate and cannot be delayed, then this prayer may be performed at a time when prayer is not allowed, such as if a person wants to travel after ‘Asr prayer. But if the matter is not immediate and the prayer can be delayed until after the time (see fatwah below)
  • Immediately after you have completed the 2 rakats, recite the abovementioned Istikhara Dua highlighted in yellow and mention the matter for which you are seeking Allah’s Guidance you have at the appropriate point in the du’a (indicated in red in the du’a above and also indicated in the video clips above).
  • Follow An Nawawi’s advice on how to interpret Allah’s guidance (please see section below).

What happens after one prays Salat ul Istikhara?

An-Nawawi holds that “after performing the istikharah, a person must do what he iswholeheartedly inclined to do and feels good about doing and should not insist on doing what he had desired to do before making the istikharah. And if his feelings change, he should leave what he had intended to do, otherwise he is not completely leaving the choice to Allah, and would not be honest in seeking aid from Allah’s power and knowledge. Sincerity in seeking Allah’s choice, means that one should completely leave what he himself had desired or determined.” [Note from Br. Rafik Beekun: Please view the video on "Istikhara and Marriage" at the bottom of this web page where the Sheikh elaborates on the different ways in which your prayer will be answered, Insha Allah}

It is not necessary that you get a dream or even a "feeling." Rather, the istikhara is a prayer that Allah guide you towards that which is best (khayr) for you. If you do the prayer of guidance (istikhara) with the proper manners, the most important of which is to truly consign the matter to Allah and suspend your own inclinations, then Allah will make events unfold in the direction that is the best for your worldly and next-worldly affairs.

Please remember that the core of being a Muslim is to put your absolute trust in Allah.  Accordingly, once you perform the prayer of Istikharak, you need to follow the guidance of Allah whether it means pursuing or abandoning the intended undertaking. Allah also says:

"And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is ((Allah)) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion." (Qur'an 65:3)

How many times can one pray Salat ul Istikhara?

As stated above, there is no limit on the number of times you can pray Salat ul Istikhara . though the fuqaha mention that it is recommend to repeat it, up to 7 times if necessary (usually done on separate occasions). [cf: Radd al-Muhtar]

Common Questions and Answers about Istikhara

All answers are from the scholars at Islamonline.com

1. What matters can one seek guidance from Istikhara and what matters are best dealt with the use of the intellect and not Istikhara?

Praise be to Allaah.

It is not correct to divide matters, when deciding whether it is permissible to pray istikhaarah regarding them, into the two categories of matters which are subject to rational thinking, in which one should not pray istikhaarah, and matters that are not subject to rational thinking, concerning which one may pray istikhaarah.

Rather what is prescribed in all cases – both major and minor – is to use one’s intellect and wisdom, and to study the options and available means. If a person is hesitant about some matter or it is not clear which choice is the correct choice on the basis of shar‘i evidence, if it is a shar‘i matter, or the basis of rational proof or proof based on experience, and so on, according to the nature of the matter in question – if he is uncertain and it is not clear based on whatever evidence is appropriate in that case, then he should delegate his affairs to Allah, asking Him for guidance and declaring his helplessness before Him, and pray istikhaarah, which is a supplication to Allah, asking Him for guidance and success after examining the available options on a rational basis.

Istikhaarah does not cancel out rational thinking or examining one’s circumstances; rather it is complementary to that.  [Please click here to read the remainder of the answer]

2. Can istikhaarah prayer be performed at the time when prayer is not allowed?

[Previously],  we have stated the times at which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade prayer. What is meant by this forbidding is general naafil prayers for which there is no reason. As for naafil prayers for which there is a reason, such as greeting the mosque, they may be offered at these times when prayer is not allowed.

The scholars differed concerning istikhaarah prayer and whether it is regarded as a prayer for which there is a reason, or not.

The correct view is that if istikhaarah is done for something that is immediate and cannot be delayed, then this prayer may be performed at a time when prayer is not allowed, such as if a person wants to travel after ‘Asr prayer. But if the matter is not immediate and the prayer can be delayed until after the time when prayer is not allowed is over, then it should not be performed at that time.

3. What are common misconceptions about Salat Istikhara?

Misconception #1:

Some people think that the istikhârah prayer is only prescribed when a person has to decide between two options. People arrive at this misunderstanding since the word “istikhârah” literally means “to seek (someone else’s) decision on a matter”. Some people jump to the conclusion that this means that they must be in a situation where they have to decide between two things.

However, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said we should offer the istikhârah prayer whenever we are thinking about embarking upon something. He said: “When one of you thinks to embark upon something, he should offer two units of prayer other the obligatory prayer” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî]

He did not say: “Whenever you are wavering between two options…”

Therefore, the istikhârah prayer is prescribed for us whenever we have a concern to embark upon a course of action but have not yet developed a firm and unwavering resolve to do so. Even if it is a single course of action with no alternative option open to us, we still have the choice between undertaking that course of action or not undertaking it. We should offer the istikhârah prayer.

On the other hand, if there are multiple options open to us, we should first consult with knowledgeable people we trust as to which course of action is best for us. Then we should pinpoint the course that appears to be the best to us and offer the istikhârah prayer about that choice, seeking Allah’s decision on the matter.

Misconception #2:

Some people think that the istikhârah prayer is prescribed only for a limit set of actions, like marriage and travel. Others feel that the prayer is only for actions of paramount importance, and not for everyday decisions. Both of these ideas are wrong. This misconception leads people to avoid praying the istikhârah prayer on many occasions where it would benefit them to do so. The prayer is prescribed for all of our decisions.

The narrator of the hadîth tells us: “He used to teach us the istikhârah prayer for all of our concerns…” This is general for all decisions, major and minor.

Misconception #3:

There is an idea that the istikhârah prayer requires the offering of two units of formal prayer exclusively with the intention istikhârah. This is really not a misconception, since there is legitimate scholarly disagreement on this issue. Nevertheless, I would still strongly argue that such a restriction is incorrect, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “…offer two units of prayer other than the obligatory prayer.” This is general for all non-obligatory prayers, including the two-units we observe upon entering the mosque or after performing ablutions, and the two-unit Sunnah prayers we offer along with our obligatory prayers.

This means that we can beseech Allah with the istikhârah supplication after any two-unit voluntary prayer we make, whatever our initial intention was to offer that two-unit prayer. In this way, we can get the benefit of two acts of worship together, by intending a certain voluntary prayer and then offering the istikhârah supplication after it.

Misconception #4:

Some people assume that it is essential to experience some sort of resolve in the heart after performing the istikhârah prayer. There is no evidence to support this assumption. In fact, the istikhârah supplication belies this idea:

O Allah! I seek Your decision through Your knowledge and your facilitation through your power and I ask You of Your tremendous grace. For indeed, You are capable while I am not, and You know while I know not, and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah! If you know this affair to be best for me in my religion, my livelihood, and in the final outcome (or: in my immediate life and my future one), then decree it for me and facilitate it for me and then bless me in it. And if You know this affair to be worse for me in my religion, my livelihood, and in the final outcome (or: in my immediate life and my future one), then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and decree for me what is good, wherever it may be, and then cause me to be contented with it.

If we consider what we are asking Allah in our istikhârah supplication, we are really leaving the decision in His hands. Whether or not we feel comfortable or happy with the course of action, we are asking Allah to bring it about for us if He knows it to be best for us and to keep it away from us if He knows it to be in our best interests not to be involved in it.

Allah says: “It is possible that you dislike a thing that is good for you, and that you love a thing that is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not. ” [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 216]

The assumption that some people have that the istikhârah prayer is supposed to manifest a sign or resolve in our hearts about the course of action has led to no end of confusion. They repeat their istikhârah prayers over and over again waiting to experience this resolve. When they do not experience it, their sense of confusion only increases. This is unfortunate, since the istikhârah prayer is supposed to help us shrug off our confusion by putting the matter in Allah’s hands.

Selon Jaber Ben Abdallah (raa):

Tú sabes y yo no sé.

*SWT= Glorificado y Enaltecido sea

How to complain about food poisoning

If you have suffered food poisoning and believe a restaurant is responsible there may be something you can do.

Firstly you must visit your doctor when you fall ill who will take a sample of faeces. From this, he or she should be able to identify the type of food poisoning you are suffering.

You should also inform your local environmental health department who may wish to investigate the restaurant in question.

Proving who is responsible may be difficult, but if more than one person is affected you will have a stronger case. If you can prove the kitchen caused your illness you can claim compensation for your pain, suffering and any loss of earnings and other expenses you incur as a result. In particularly serious cases, get advice from a personal injury solicitor on how much to claim.

The letter below, composed by the Consumer's Association, is an example of the type of letter you will need to send to the owner.

Sample letter

Dear

At (time) on (day, date) my party of (number) ate (meal) at your restaurant. I am writing to let you know that members of my party became seriously ill with food poisoning following the meal.

I have been advised by my GP that the food poisoning almost certainly resulted from the food which had been eaten at your restaurant. This is because (details).

You are legally obliged to serve food which is fit for human consumption under the terms of the contract between restaurant and consumer. Your failure to do so indicates that you are in breach of contract. As a result, we are legally entitled to receive compensation from you for our pain and suffering, loss of earning and out-of-pocket expenses.

We are taking legal advice on the extent of our claim and will be in touch with you shortly to advise you of the figure.

I have also contacted the Environmental Health Department, which will be investigating the matter.

Yours sincerely

MUSLIMS THAT TREAT OTHER MUSLIMS BADLY

How many genuinely offer food to another without personal reason or gain ?

Tell people that work for you to cover up, as others wear a uniform.

over hear a conversation that they shouldnt be listening to in the first place and then take a few sentences and just run with it.

Get told that you need a socket to plug in the laptop, see someone using the last 10 % before you come to your own conclusion.

What do you make of some muslim girls in hijab laughing at another in hospital, because the nurse couldnt say your name.

Were you part of the whole town that came to give advice ? Is the old way of receiving absene remarks in return; better.

Are you causing trouble ?

Do you manipulate Islamic knowledge for your own needs ?

 Path to destruction.

If there is a way in which it can be described. All the islamic knowledge at the forefront of your mind, in shorterm memory. Exclude and block out all the haram as much as can be possbile and then speak to Allah the creator and ask him for your answear and he

gives you your answears and you can see everything.

Things to look out for...

Gas being leaked into your home ; from the house next door. Install fire detectors that come with gas detectors.

Plumbing that is being tampered with adjoining pipes to the house next door, to leak waste water into your home.

Water pipes that are deliberately closed.

Mail boxes that are broken into to reveal your identity and mailing lists.

These are all problems that are encountered by muslims caused by non muslim neighbours.

Couldnt believe what  I saw, when I came to London.

Islamically; a man khafaur doesnt have the right to say salaam to a woman in the street he doesnt know.

An islamic woman is under no obligation to reply to a khaufar man when he says salaam to her.

A MARRIAGE CAN BE VOID ON A NUMBER OF OCCASSIONS.

1. If you do not see your partner within a 3 month period.

2. If you do not pay her expenses, living costs.

3. A man cannot ask his wife to engage in any haram activity.

4. oral sex is not permitted in islam.

"www.ehow.com" had written an article about goneria being a viral infection, but disguised the fact that it is contracted via sexual transmition. It is a sexualy transmitted disease. If a person has goneria around its mouth it  has been  sexually transmitted and not caught via sneezing or breathing germs.

allah is here, all around us, protecting us from players, hes always been here from the start.

with all the money in the world, you are nothing, unless you have islam in your life.

a woman tells me you have to explain everything, what world is that, we talk in abrevations, we come from a world where people are not hounded like dogs.

aids in not contracted from the first time, a peron has sex with an aids carrier, but after many times of having sex with the infected person.

If anyone is suffering from shingles, there is a shingles tablet availible that is not mentioned on the NHS website.

Maybe sometime your intentions were pure, im really that good, but it was just not meant to be.

Logic of events shows, the creater knows best.

We are very happy with the outcome of this web site and would like to thank everyone for their comments.

If you are overqualified for most jobs, because the experience of life has meant that you learned most of what life has to offer, then you may find that it is time to look at new horizons!

THE NEW GENERATION.

Key

Onomatopoeic = sound words

Unlike me you shouldn’t need to work at the age of 12 and should have parents that are able to provide you will all necessary needs. One doesnt need to go too far too see the impact a few comments  made, has on the ignorance of others and has on neighbouring crowds, in order to predict the consequence of decisions based on emotions.

Wages from a weekend job shouldn’t be wasted on fashion, but saved towards your first patent or copyright.

As flattering as it may be to have parents as role models, although I also thought I knew everything, at the age of 12 with my 4 hours a week of employment and my own bank account. It comes as a huge surprise, when we awaken to find that actually, I did know most, but still not all.

The generation of today can now, connect with parents contacts, experiences and not have to admit they were wrong, when they were because they are now skilled and equip with extended vocabulary of the eloquent English language, which reserves the right to change its definition as and when required.

“equip” shouldnt there be a “t” at the end of that word. and just the other day I saw all these words written with a when it should have been . U.

I am sure how it got to this point, the casual relaxed persona or the turning ablind eye to people’s faults or LIGHT DAY TIME HUMOUR. I woke this morning to see snow, cat napped and then pleasantly awoke again to see the snow which I may be inclined to have felt I had imagined had actually melted.

A generation of children, that start life with the knowledge of how the legal system works, researching for survival; when actually the playground conversations are about contact procedures and children’s rights and should be about pantomimes and plays. Even the solicitor was impressed, “gosh they know all about this”, what? (thats pardon, if children arereading, and the word what, has only been added here to show vocabulary impact using vocabulary (which is impact using vocabulary)  as if it couldn’t get any worse.

Not having become quite the redundant parent, when you offer the chat “lets have a chat” you are told, all relevant information has been accumulated, and friends have told them everything they need to know. In actual fact court cases have been delayed, and judgements made without evidence. Such a novel idea, which actually it has all  been done before.

We use slang a lot of the time, without actually being aware of its origin, which mostly is derived from sexual references. Usually to be met with peculiar looks.

“Never underestimate the gut instinct; Reading this you might think I sound very ambitious.  I’m actually not.  I’ve made most of my career decisions on gut instinct.  I’ve turned things down that just felt wrong – even when they looked good on paper.  And I’ve taken things that looked a bit of a risk if they felt right.  I don’t think ‘listening to your gut’ is as random as it sounds.  Your gut is processing all your 5, 10, 20 years of experience and giving you the benefit of its professional opinion.” M. Williams.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

34k or 64k platform, so that until the gut instinct can catch up with the idea of the raw coded web site, and then we are in business. I say that, in complete ignorance of your world and, is LOVE really a place in the workplace. Then if it helps in the detangling of the situation and morality of the mood I may be inclined to call myelf. Thats my selfs, without the s.

With a bank account and your own pay as you go credit card, email and twitter accounts, appearing in much sought search engines; tap into utilisation of contacts.

Dream ruined by hash tags.
